Ugly Pants!

My trip back to Denmark was wonderful but much to short and I did not get to see many important and fantastic people. I did however get to do one thing which I have been missing immensely these many years.
I got to spend time with Bettina. The best part of it all was that even though it had been 10 years, our lives had changed, we had changed, we had become wives and mothers, we picked up right where we left it.
Once we both realized that our friendship had not been compromised, that we had not grown apart, we were both so very relieved and happy that we had to prove that just because we are now officially grownups, we can still be just as goofy as we were when we were teens.
We went on a quest to find the ugliest pants in the store. These won the grand price!!!!!
Seriously ugly pants!

Blast from the past!

So, I (Jed) worked at the college book store way back when Ida and I were just dating. My manager at the time was a wonderful lady named Stephanie. She came to church with us one day, but jobs changed and we lost track of her.Ten years later she walks up to me at church and asks me my name. There were lots of tears all around. We hadn't seen each other in all that time. A few weeks later I got to speak at her baptism.
Here are the elders that taught her.
Stephanie with her mom and her friend Hugo.
Hugo, Stephanie, Me, and Ida.
Us again.
The whole crew.
The mercenaries. Stephanie and "her boys."
One where Elder Burtoch isn't making a weird face.Stephanie's mom isn't a member of the church yet, but we have high hopes.

And on that farm they had a reception

Old MacDawnica had a farm, Ee i ee i oh!

And on that farm she had some horses

Cute couple!

So I wonder how Jed felt when he watched Dawnica get married. You know besides really happy that is. I wonder this because looking at this picture of her and James reminded me of when we flew out to visit when James turned 8. Jed got to baptise his little brother and he was so happy. When we arrived in the airport Jed gleefully ran to his mother and brother and gave them hugs and there was this gorgeous girl standing right next to them and Jed completely ignored her, after a moment I saw the look on her face and realized she felt left out. Jed looked at her and away many times before I managed to communicate to him that he should great his sister. It took Jed at least a week to get used to the fact that Dawnica was not a little 9 year old twig child that he could through up in the air anymore. Every time he saw her he would look all concerned and whisper something like "how can that be Dawnica? She Looks more like a woman than a girl!" So now I wonder exactly what did Jed think when he saw her marry?
