Foul play!

I must warn you!

This is not just a story of cute fluffy baby animals and sweet children who name their new pets funny names.

This is a story of a villain!

You will find that all the 3 bigger baby chicks die in this story!

But not until after the sweet children had poured lots of love and care into them.

You see the sweet children loved watching the chickens grow and would play with and talk to them often.

Only the smaller black chicken made it to the end of the tragic tale but do not fret it has a happy ending.

You see the villain has been watching the chicks and when 2 of them flew over the fence with their clipped wings he ate them!

Another was found dead shortly before, no one is sure why.

Now there was just one little black chicken left and as soon as the cage had been upgraded from -break in by dog proofed- to -no getting out if you are a chicken proofed- we acquired 6 new little balls of fluff.

These 6 little chicks are now grown enough that they are in the coop with Rosa (the survivor) and they are all getting along fine. Rosa should start laying at the end of July and we are really hoping it all works out.
